CBC’s private back dining room is another idyllic location, whether it be for business or pleasure. The long thread of windows overlooking the sand and sea create a uniquely calming atmosphere.

Regardless of where you choose to meet, it’s strongly suggested you make plans for morning yoga on the sand; the sounds of the sea and the bright sunshine are sure to leave your group feeling relaxed and refreshed, ready for what’s to come.

Additional on property luxuries/team building activities include reclining seaside on Italian sun loungers, allowing the lululemon-clad beach attendants to bring your every desire directly to you; competitive games of corn hole on Carbon Beach; ocean view, fireside facials and massages; and pretty much anything else you could dream up.

For those who wish to bond offsite, a plethora of local spots create an even more unique experience, from surfing to hiking to paddle boarding to kayaking to wine tasting. “There are numerous hiking trails I recommend,” says Nili while reminiscing about one group who opted to hike two trails a day. “I can send an entire list of options, one of which includes wine.”

In partnership with Malibu Wines, you can opt to trek the Wine Hike, ride the Wine Safari, or simply head straight to the outdoor tasting room, which offers a selection of Southern California wines, along with live music and regular movie nights.

Each of these situations helps team members relax and escape their comfort zone, while getting to know their team members in a completely new setting. “It also gives the team something to look forward to in addition to their meeting. And I recommend taking advantage of these activities as it provides an alternative to their routine and typical business days.” says Nili.

No matter the agenda, though, it’s recommended the group take a moment to enjoy CBC (Carbon Beach Club) while on property. Nili recommends enjoying a full-course dinner on the oceanfront terrace, especially if you don’t have the time for off-site excursions. “This way you can get a breath of fresh air, enjoy the scenery, and enjoy the beautiful outdoors Malibu Beach Inn is perched along.”
