We’ve been touched by the outpouring of support we’ve received during this challenging beginning to 2025. Though the Malibu wildfire has impacted our community, we are still here, we are safe, and – as of January 24th, we are open to the public.

But while the Palisades Fire may have spared the Inn, our beloved town – and all of the Southland – is hurting. As the heroic firefighters (many local, some from far away) finish off the blazes, we are now planning our path forward to recovery.

Stay at the Inn: For those displaced by the area’s fires, the Inn is offering discounted rates for short- or long-term stays. If you or someone you know is looking for a place to stay, please reach out at 1-800-4-MALIBU and we will work with you to provide a place of safety and comfort during this unparalleled time.

Finding Your Way to Malibu Beach Inn: Planning a visit to Malibu Beach Inn? We’ve got you covered with detailed directions to ensure a smooth journey, whether you’re taking the scenic Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) or navigating alternate routes due to the route’s reduced traffic flow. Check the end of this post for step-by-step driving instructions for alternate routes.

Ask for Help: Living under the stress of active natural disasters can be a major strain on your mental health. CURE Wellness Center, just across the street at 22917 Pacific Coast Highway, has long been our partner in health, and all guests at the Inn receive membership-level access to CURE’s fitness and spa facilities. But while the need to process these events persists, we’re also offering an array of mental health services via CURE.

Volunteer: Due to Malibu’s proximity to the impacted zones, there aren’t many opportunities within the city itself to volunteer. However, people are banding together throughout Los Angeles and the entire Southland to try and help. If you have the time and ability to lend a hand, places like The Malibu Foundation welcome help, and L.A. Works and Mutual Aid LA are maintaining lists of volunteer opportunities, whether its sorting through donations, delivering meals, or shopping for supplies. While the immediate danger of the fires seems to be over, the need for help is likely to last throughout the year.

Go Out: The indirect effects of the fires have spread throughout the economy; while both the Palisades and Eaton blazes ran amok, many local businesses shut down, with both their customers and employees affected. But the Southland is now back open for business, and there are many ways to support fire relief with your dollars while also having a much-needed night out on the town. For instance, DineLA has returned, and the fortnight-long celebration of Los Angeles-area dining is donating money from each reservation to the American Red Cross. That includes reservations at Carbon Beach Club, which is offering its own family-style dinner menu. In addition, the calendar is littered with charity events, ranging from arena-sized concerts to art shows at private galleries.

We are proud to stand with our neighbors and wider Malibu community during this time, and our thoughts are with all those affected and displaced by the fires.
